It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of long-time Town Board
Member, Toby Edwards. Toby served with distinction for 33 years. During his
time as Board Member, he was instrumental in many projects that helped to make
the Town of Edinburg the place we all love to call home. On behalf of the
community, we extend our deepest condolences to Toby’s family. May you find
comfort in the support of friends, neighbors, and the many residents whose lives he
has touched through his service to our town.

The Town Board is seeking letters of interest from registered Edinburg voters who
would like to be considered for the vacant position. This position may be filled by
appointment of the Town Board or the applicants can run for the position by
petition and possible primary in June of 2026 to fill the unexpired term of Town
Board Member Edwards. The Town Board will decide how to proceed after seeing
what interest there is from the public. Letters of potential interest should be sent to

All letters must be received by January 20, 2026.
